Project Description: Fully modernize the four existing electric traction elevators (three passengers and one freight) that serve the Annex Building. When finished, the modernized elevators shall be fully reliable, integrated and code compliant. This work will be performed in a fully occupied and functioning building and all precautions are to be taken to ensure that the functions of the building occupants are not interrupted. This facility project includes all site surveys, engineering, permitting, management, labor, material and equipment to meet the requirements of this contract. All work shall be designed and completed in accordance with ASME A17.1.The Treasury Annex Project is to upgrade the existing Westinghouse elevator systems. Additional work will provide a new 3200 amp automatic transfer switch (ATS) that will permit the existing Annex emergency generator to fully support the four existing elevators (three passengers and one freight) that are being modernized under the Base Contract.
